Grandkids

Mackenzie's first birthday and first sugar overload!

Christmas Day at Grandma Quinn's
Hayley's first Basketball game.  She is the cutest goal defender I've ever seen!

Weaving a baby blanket

It's been forever since I have blogged, not that anyone reads my blog.  But I decided to start so I can keep track of all my projects.
I'm loading a cotton baby blanket on my 48" Macomber Loom and WHAT WAS I THINKING!!  It is the widest thing I have ever done.  I have done a doubleweave to get that width but never anything 48" wide.  There are 692 ends in an 8/2 cotton.  Have to finish tying on and warping on the backbeam.  I sure hope it turns out halfway decent looking!

Food Storage, where to put it all????? I have it stuffed all over the house, in closets, under beds, drawers, wherever it would fit. Then a daughter moved out, empty bedroom, hummmmmmm, what to do????? Aha, food storage!!! I now know where everything is I can see it and I'll know what to can up next year. I'm kind of heavy on the green beans. We still have to put in the #10 can's somewhere, but for a starter this is great!!
As if this past week hasn't had enough excitement, I found out I'm going to be a Grandma again!! This will be grand baby #8, thanks to Serene and Brandon.

My what big feet you have, All the better to hang on to my 10 toes!! Here are 5 of my 10 fingers!!

Grandma and Grandpa Williams

Next came Rocket, the cutest baby boy on the planet!!!!! How exciting to welcome him to this earth!!! I was Slapps birth coach and I'm so glad he was considerate to his grandma and it wasn't an all nighter. He was born at 9:27 pm on November 16th, 2010. Erin's 32nd birthday. I did miss Erin's birthday party, sorry sweetie. She had Rocket natural and she did such a great job!!! Way to go SLAPPS!!!!! She should be the poster child for natural childbirth. She was induced because Rocket hadn't been growing so it was time for him to get outta there. From start to finish was about 4/12 hours. Rocket's real name is Austin James Quinn. He was 7 lbs 9 oz and 21 inches long. Did I say he is the cutest baby boy on the planet??

After Halloween came Rockets baby shower. Here is the hooded sweater, quilt, and diaper changing pad I made for him.

After trick or treating we all gather for some heavy trading!! Jacob and Abbie got the biggest haul of the night! Way to go Jacob and Abbie!!!!!

Halloween 2010

Jacob went as Darth Vader and he sounded just like him!! Don't know why I don't have a picture. Erin must have taken it for me with her camera!!

I haven't posted forever. Here's the gang for Halloween, BJ, Paul, Olya, Kaitlyn and Robbie Ditch, plus the cutest pumpkin ever Abbie!!!

Now that's a Texas size hamburger bun!!!

Whole Wheat Hamburger Buns

I accidentally took a video of the whole wheat hamburger buns that I made. Wish you could smell them!!!

I'm going to be a Grandma again!!

Erin is pregnant!!! This will be grand-baby #7!! We are all so excited! By our calculations the baby will be here in early April, but we'll see what the Dr. says next Monday. What another great blessing for our family!! Rocket (BJ and Melissa's baby) will be here on or around November 26th. I guess that means no bath for me this Thanksgiving lol. Rocket is what Abbie calls him, as of now he has no official name. I think they will welcome any suggestions.

Kleinurs!!!!

Today I made some Icelandic Donuts called Kleinurs. They are soooo good!!! We ate them every day in Iceland. Last night I made Icelandic Crepes or Ponnukokur. They were also extremely yummy!! Not bad for my first attempt!!

A puffin in the western most part of Europe in Latrajburg, Iceland.

I think I finally found my favorite Puffin picture. I took tons of pictures and it was hard to choose just one, but I think this one won!

Surrounded by Faroes Sheep

Yesterday I finished Paul grey socks that he wanted. Got the yarn at Alafoss Factory in Iceland. I think he's excited to wear them to work and tell everyone his "sweetheart" made them for him. I am now working on his Shetland Island sweater. It will take a while to finish, but it will be beautiful when finished! I'll try to post a pictures along the way
